SUMMARY:Food System Plan for San Juan County on San Juan
DESCRIPTION:Join us at these upcoming town hall events to help shape our shared food future! \nThu 4/20\, 5pm: San Juan Event @Brickworks (150 Nichols St\, Friday Harbor) \n**All islanders are invited to participate in these highly interactive 1.5hr events** \n  \nBuilding off of three years of research and engagement by the San Juan County Food System Team\, the Food System Plan will serve as a shared roadmap to equitably relocalizing our food system. The Plan offers specific strategies designed to foster a thriving local food culture and economy that is grounded in ecological resilience\, justice\, and innovation\, and will be published in Summer 2023. \nThese town hall events are one component of a broader engagement effort to shape the Food System Plan and will be facilitated by Maggi Adamek of Terra Soma\, the Food System Team’s consultant and guide in the planning process. These engaging sessions are an opportunity to give feedback on the draft plan and help prioritize objectives and strategies to ensure that San Juan County’s future food supply is robust and resilient. \nWe all have a role in our local food system\, and your voice and experience is crucial to shape this roadmap – please join us to share your perspectives! \n  \nAccessible parking available. \nPlease reach out to foodsystem.sjc@gmail.com for any accessibility needs or information. \nFor more information\, visit sjiagguild.com/sjc-food-system
